Centra Associates

This review reflects only my leasing process and move‑in experience, as I have not yet officially lived in one of their properties at the time of writing. I have never left a review before, but I felt like this experience warranted one. Throughout my interactions with the Centra team, they have been consistently helpful, easy to reach, and genuinely understanding. Even during the holidays, and when some of my belongings were delivered before my scheduled move‑in date while I was out of town, they remained responsive, supportive, and accommodating. Based on these experiences, I cannot recommend Centra more.

I lived at the Northern Liberties location, and unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. The neighborhood itself is great, and the staff was friendly at first, but that changed once I reported a mice infestation in my unit. There was a hole that went unnoticed and unpatched for four months, allowing the problem to continue. When I raised concerns, the responsibility was shifted onto me rather than being addressed promptly. After reading other reviews, I realized this was not an isolated issue. It ultimately took four months for the problem to be resolved. By that point, I no longer felt comfortable living there and wanted to break my lease, but the process was made unnecessarily difficult.

My experience with Centra Associates was incredibly disappointing. The staff was rude, unprofessional, and consistently unresponsive to my concerns. I spent two months without a working stove, despite repeatedly submitting maintenance requests. Communication was minimal, and basic repairs were either ignored or severely delayed. Since moving out, my experience with my new leasing company has been the complete opposite — professional, respectful, and responsive. It’s really put into perspective how poorly managed and neglectful Centra Associates was. I now realize how much better tenants should and can be treated. I would not recommend Centra Associates to anyone looking for competent or considerate property management. STAY AWAY!

Very nice before you lease, they agreed to repaint our apartment before moving in. Our ceiling partially caved in due to water damage and it took them 7 months to repair it. The ac unit also started drawing way too much power and everyone in our building started getting electric bills upward of $500 a month for 1 bedroom apartments. Centra responded by shrugging their shoulders.

Illegally collected an extra month of rent. (Sent an email that it was owed when it wasn’t.) Then proceeded to ignore my emails and phone calls asking for that money back. They did answer once and vaguely say it should be considered additional security deposit but had to get back to me. (My lease term was over one year so illegal to hold over 1 months rent in PA) Finally after getting my attorney involved they rebated me the extra month rent at 3pm on the Friday of a holiday weekend when I had to be out on Monday to avoid holding over. I had to throw out most of my belongings which of course led to deducting my entire deposit for garbage disposal. Also the property had a crazy rodent infestation. I did like the price fire the location at least
