CC Property Management

Rented for a year then relocated for work. I lived in a 1 bedroom apartment, rent was affordable. CC property answered all my questions and communication was prompt. No issues with move-out.

I don't recommend these crooks if you want to be treated fairly. My mother died and I cleaned out her apartment. I own a cleaning business so I know what I'm doing, and left the property better than how it looked when she moved in. They charged my mother for curtains that weren't there when she moved in, 3 and a half hours for cleaning(which is total nonsense), and charged 1.5 hours for some idiot considered maintenance to put in 2 light bulbs, 2 drip pans, and hang curtain rods that weren't there to begin with. What a joke, they even charged 3 times for some curtain rods that weren't even included with the property. Most rental companies in Rapid City aren't good. You habe to be careful. READ BEFORE YOU RENT: I rented through CC for my last year at college. The place wasn’t in great shape but whatever, they advertised having good repairmen that could take care of issues. The real issue was that you could never get them out to fix anything. My water heater was constantly going out to the point where an outside technician said a new water heater was needed. CC didn’t care. The repairmen showed up for a repair while we had 3 or 4 active requests and told us “sorry, we’re only here to fix one issue.” Then to top it all off, they took over 825 dollars of my 1500 dollar deposit and won’t tell me anything other than “repairs and cleaning fees” but refuse to show what they fixed or how much they charged for each issue. Ever since my apartment complex switched from my old property management to CC, there was a significant decrease in quality. My old landlords would come have the decks and building deep cleaned often. CC never did. Also, the maintenance guy hung bird netting so crooked on our stairwell it looked horrible. Let them know about it the same day and they never came and fixed it, been over 2 years. They charged us 5 hours of cleaning bills when we moved out despite the fact that my fiance had spent probably 15 straight hours deep cleaning every inch before we moved. Talking to another old neighbor they did the exact same thing to her. These people are next to worthless and I'm glad I am not financially supporting their "business" anymore.

UPDATE: As you can see from their replies to everyone CC property management does not take responsibility for anything that goes wrong in their units the blame is always placed on the tenant. Nobody from my family Ever told them anything about going the extra mile. So thats where they are confused. Anyone who had to live breathing in ammonia toxicity without releif for 2 months would break their lease too We wouldnt have had to break our lease had the smell been resolved or even offered to move us to another unit that didnt smell so awful. But none of that was offered until well after we were so fed up with it and had to give our notice before it made us sicker.
