Don If I could give Don 0 stars I would, he’s lucky I’m forced to give 1 star. This will be long, and to be frank, this won’t include everything that has happened this past year. To start off, getting maintenance or someone out there to fix things is a nightmare. They take weeks and do not notify you when they are going to come. So if no one is home, they will put it off for another week or 2. This home along with his other rental properties have mice and ant issues. We had terminix out a numerous amount of times and nothing would help the issues. Before moving in there was mouse poop along the bottom of the cabinets. We notified Don about it and he didn’t seem to care nor did he send someone out to clean or treat it. The house was dirty upon moving in as well. A few months into the move,

My son rented a house from Mr. Cato and we could not get him to respond to any requests in a timely manner. The security deposit was not returned when he said it would be and no explanation was given as to any damages. The house was clean as a whistle when he moved out but Mr. Cato would not respond to our questions about the deposit. Before my son moved, Mr. Cato would try to schedule a house showing for the next renters giving very little notice. It seems that he is only concerned with getting the rent for the house and never even fixed the ice maker when it wasn't working.

Do not rent from Don Cato! There are so many catches in the lease and problems/issues will not be fixed. If it does get fixed, it takes time and there will be some way for you to ultimately pay. It took him 11 months to start fixing over 30 issues with the house. Save yourself the time and find someone that will help with your problems.

Real slum lord. Horrible person would show up at my work threatening me because I moved out after the house flooded with sewage that he refused to have fixed/cleaned.

The worse landlord possible, my window was broken for an entire year that I stayed there despite multiple attempts to get it fixed, he is very manipulative and will get mad at you if you don’t agree with him and he also has no concern over your safety or we’ll being and just cares about money, take your business literally anywhere else but to him he does not deserve that!
