This was a collaboration from start to finish with expert guidance from Todd on not only what we should update, but also what was not worth changing. Sandra was my design wing woman, guiding me through every selection to ensure a cohesive design throughout the house. Although they may be a reputable company, they have not demonstrated respect for neighboring properties. They have built two homes in our neighborhood—one directly next door and another down the street—and throughout one project, their workers repeatedly threw trash over our fence, even joking about it. Their trucks damaged our asphalt berm twice, and despite the lengthy two-year construction process, the issues persisted. Workers, trucks, and heavy vehicles regularly lined the street, often leaving no space for guests to park anywhere but in our driveway. Despite multiple attempts to reach Andrea, my calls and texts have gone unanswered, aside from an occasional message saying she would come out—yet she never has. Based on these experiences, I cannot say I’m impressed with this company.

Castlewood was great to work with. They told us we'd move in 6 months after starting demolition and we moved in at 5 months 28 days. As overwhelming as building a house is, they made it feel much less so. We felt there were ample allowances and lots of choices and Andrea kept us sane along the way. Our project manager, Jim, was phenomenal!!! He was a great communicator and problem solver. I'm sure all of their project managers are great, but ask for Jim if you can. To this day, if someone asks, I recommend Castlewood if you are building a house.

Very disappointing. We met numerous times with Castlewood's owner and architect about designing and building a new home. However, they "dropped the ball" when it came to follow up. After being told we would hear back in three business days with final drawings, it has now been nearly four weeks and they have not responded despite my numerous attempts to reach out to them by way of the phone and email. Not very professional in my opinion. We have no idea of why they failed to communicate. Perhaps they were too busy or felt our requisites were unrealistic. Not sure... They apparently don't care.

We had a great experience with Castlewood for our new build. The team was very organized throughout the planning process. Our designer, Sam McIntire, was fantastic and really understood our aesthetic. We hired our own inspector throughout the process and the inspector also felt that the build was very high quality. We are very happy with the final product!
