DO NOT RENT HERE!!!! When moving in there, you can expect to pay a “fully refundable” $1000 deposit ($500 Security, $500 for pet) but don’t expect to get a full refund back though. They will find some way to charge you $300 plus for a “cleaning fee” regardless of how damn clean your apartment is. They also tack on an additional $35 each month for pet rent. For our six-month agreement that would have amounted to $210. That’s plenty of money to cover any minor dog wear and tear. We spent hours cleaning every surface in the apartment with a steam cleaner. We have our own carpet cleaner we used, and of course the standard vacuuming. The place was spotless, and we have pictures to prove it. They charged $120 for carpet cleaning. While the amenities are great, there are a number of cons to living here. The walls are paper thin, not only within your apartment, but between units. The walls are also very markable. Don't lean too hard against the walls- you will leave a scuff behind. As for management... I've heard great things about Carl, though I've never had the opportunity to interact with him. Skylar was great to work with, no complaints there. Natalie however was very hard to work with- her communication skills need some serious work. It typically would take DAYS (often with multiple follow-up requests) to get responses from her, and when you did get a response, it usually didn't actually answer my questions. I lived in the old and new apartments. The new one seemed nice at first but the walls are thinner than construction paper and need to be repainted if you lean on them. The old apartment was alright until the construction started and mice invaded almost all of them. The overall low review is being left because of the management. Unorganized and seem to only care about two things, money and themselves. Both of the property managers were always gone and always unprofessional. The only positive experience I had with this place was with the maintenance crew. Carl deserves a raise.

SECURITY DEPOSITS ARE FOR DAMAGE YOU CAUSED NOT NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR. I used to recommend Cascade any chance I got to new people moving to cedar, but will no longer be doing that moving forward due to the faculty who are very dishonest. The only person who actually does their job and goes above and beyond is Carl. Carl was fantastic, he's a hard worker and just a great person all around The manager has used our security deposit for normal wear and tear and updating the carpet in our unit. We have gone back and forth with emails, I have text message proof that the carpet was damaged prior to us moving in and she refuses to recognize that. Natalie isn't agreeing to past manageement agreements. We trusted the previous manager that our account was noted appropriately of the damaged carpet,

Lived at these apartments for around a year and a half. The new property manager is awesome, always does resident events, and sweet things like food drives and fresh breakfast in the am and not just for holiday events! Great quiet neighbors all around. They are always trying to improve our apartments in the best ways they can and upgrading with utilities and such it’s so nice.
