Beware of Misleading Practices and Unfair Charges I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my experience as a tenant at 1B 68 gold street BK casa dumbo, managed by CW realty group. From the very beginning I faced misleading information from the broker & management company followed by a series of unresolved issues and unfair charges. Upon signing the lease, I was explicitly written evidence that no prorated rent needed to be paid. However, after moving in, and paying one month rent and one month deposit, I was surprised to find an additional charge had miraculously showed up for the 5 days . This misleading information caused unnecessary financial burden and demonstrated a clear disregard for transparency and fair dealing. Furthermore, the apartment was not in a habitable

Poorly built. very low quality and amateurish work. Bugs come out of the gap. Building smells like a sewer whenever it rains. Smell of dog urine smell through out the building in summer. strong marijuana smell in hallway. in the winter, building temp kept low even to the point of inspector coming . Was warm only for that day and cold again after inspector left. Rats in the building. Hot water stops in after 15min of use. Management not caring about all these issues even when multiple complaints were made. No matter how much I complained, there was no improvement at all.

Biggest regret moving into this building. It was shoddily constructed with gaps in the the apartment that weren’t sealed, despite the realtor informing me it would be. To make matters worse, I have insects coming into the apartment ( super says he doesn’t know where it’s coming from so it cannot be fixed) and the building has the worst sound insulation ever. There is always construction, which directly reverberates inside the apartment and I can hear cars as well as people speaking on the street. My sleep is disrupted every night by loud noises and it’s impossible to work in the apartment. I found out as well that they sneakily included the heating of water into my electric bill, when the realtor informed me before signing the lease that hot water is included. This place was built basically overnight. There is an unnecessary amount of exterior lights, changing the entire vibe of the neighborhood. More than that, it is clearly creating a significant amount light pollution for the people across the street. Have some respect for your neighbours. Also, the description for this place is “a waterfront oasis”. I can assure you that this is neither on the waterfront, nor an oasis.

The affordable housing apartments were ridiculously small, definitely don't worth the price. Very disapointing....
