Carytown Crossing

After living here around 5 years I can say that the my neighbors have nearly all been wonderful and so friendly. It’s a spectacular location, close to Carytown. But the location is what you’re paying for. There are absolutely zero amenities and they’ve been promising a pool/grills for well over 5 years. Getting packages delivered to the right building is a known struggle since there’s no mailroom. Many times they’re simply left outside. The one ‘amenity’ are a few trashcans for doggie waste that are usually overflowing with bags all over the ground for days on end. Yes, as with most new builds the walls are thin so you can hear every footstep. Lived here about 6 months. Nicely appointed apts, a bit pricey, though., great location.. walkable to Cary St. and Kroger, buses nearby. Staff is hit or miss.. sometimes helpful, often unreasonably or illogical. The office manager can be very difficult.

So far it’s been great! Our neighbors are really nice and courteous. The kitchens are gorgeous. No one is ever too loud. The layout is conducive to working from home. The folks in the office are fast, responsive, and genuinely nice.

I've never left a review, positive or negative, for an apartment complex before. Carytown Crossing is bad enough to warrant one. Among other issues, the apartments are pretty but of terrible quality--everything will break within the year. The HVAC gives off a powerfully bad odor that was never addressed. The grounds are not well kept (everyone has a dog and no one picks up after them). The walls are very thin. I could hear my neighbors both beside me and above me at all hours of the day and night. I could have looked past all of that if management had been responsive and helpful. They were the opposite. Moving out was the worst--they became just a nightmare to work with.
