I wanted to take the time to review CMV as a rental agency separate from the actual rental. The rental was amazing but privately owned and is not what I am reviewing. I had to acknowledge the friendly and amazing service I received while in the area. Emails and phone calls were handled fast, thorough, and most of all friendly. Every interaction I felt like a valued customer. Dora Crisp is the manager and she was amazing. Thank you for everything during our stay.

UPDATE: In the message I received following my initial request, there was no room to assume there was any flexibility. The response clearly stated that a refund was not possible and directed me to contact Airbnb — nothing about exploring alternatives or rescheduling. I’ve also read many of your other 1-, 2-, and 3-star reviews, and the responses follow the same pattern: scripted sympathy followed by deflection and policy citations. It seems that empathy here only extends as far as your template allows. My communication was respectful, timely, and transparent. Yours was dismissive until my review became public. We rented the 2 bedroom/2.5 bath pet friendly cabin Chillin Time from Carolina Mountain Vacations in Bryson City NC. We have rented from them many times and have always been pleased with the accommodations and service. This cabin seems fairly new and is located in an equestrian community called Thomas Divide. Nice privacy, good road access. Convenient to town and trails in GSNP. Town always decorates so beautifully for every season. Very comfortable cabin. Loved gas fireplace indoors and wood outdoors on porch. Even a dog wash in the laundry room! Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in grandpa‘s cabin. The pictures on the website looked beautiful, but you’re always nervous if that is a true view. Well it was. The back porch large with even a dining table to eat outside. The Jacuzzi watching the sunset was wonderful each night. This company stayed in touch with me prior to my visit and throughout my visit. I knew if there was any issues I had somebody to reach out to. We will definitely be back.

Stayed the week at Camp Brennan . Such a beautiful property and a well appointed cabin. Our only mistake was not booking 2 weeks ! We will be back !
