We feel incredibly lucky to have chosen Cardinal Crest Homes to build our dream home. From the get-go, they blew us away with their top-notch quality—it's second to none. The craftsmanship is outstanding, and you can tell they don't mess around when it comes to building homes that will last for generations. When we started the project, their design team was awesome. They not only listened to our ideas but took them and ran with it, making improvements we didn't even think of. Our home turned out even better than we imagined, and we can't thank them enough for turning our dreams into reality. Proceed with caution. We later learned many clients had very similar experiences. Communication is poor. Buildertrend isnt used properly despite all their ads for them. Calendars aren’t updated, messages go unanswered, and we had five project managers with zero notice when they changed. PMs would disappear and new ones would reach out with no handoff, forcing us to constantly re-explain issues and catch mistakes onsite. Timelines are very unreliable. I don’t believe even one phase was accurate — I think most took about double the quoted time. Our closing date moved repeatedly without conversation (Oct → Dec → Feb → March → April → June). We are now 8+ months behind schedule. Example: the enamel paint timeline just jumped from 6 to 20 weeks the day it was supposed to start, despite them

Building a custom home is always a challenging process, especially with client expectations that at times are not always realistic. We’ve been in our Cardinal Crest home for over four years. Our home is as it was when we moved in. The quality, fit and finish, and attention to detail are superb. We had some issues, as expected, that Joe helped us resolve within the first year. What I love about working with this team is that they treat you like family. I can be at Target (this has happened) and a member of the team says “Hey, I know you. I work at Cardinal Crest.” They put a personal touch on their work, have opened their homes to us, and are absolute professionals. If we ever build again, you can bet that Joe and his team will be our first call.
