If you can go somewhere else, please do. My entire home purchase was botched. On some of the paperwork they had two plats listed and when I asked about it, as I believed we were buying a large lot of land, they told me they didn’t know and we couldn’t close if they had to figure it out. They were able to tell me there was a house on the other portion and that it was under contract with them also. We said fine and signed the paperwork. I was told the final inspection was completed on my home, but it wasn’t until last week 9/2. We closed 6/25. Now we’re having to deal with the neighbors because they are listing my home for rent because the title agency didn’t verify the plats were separated prior to selling both homes.
