I had a very disappointing experience with Cape Fear Real Estate. Communication was poor, concerns were not addressed in a timely or professional manner, and I felt that my legitimate property damage issue was handled dismissively. Instead of taking responsibility and working toward a fair resolution, the situation was delayed and minimized. I would strongly encourage others to carefully consider their options before working with this company.

I rented with them for years. I placed complaints about mold and my children being sick, and was ignored. When I finally put my foot down they acted as if it was our fault that the house had leak under it, and whomsoever did the add ons was more than likely not licensed causing mold at the top of our closets. I have lost clothing, and my son's entire bedroom set to mold. We have a 12 month lease but due to COVID and the office being closed we never got a copy of the lease. I was told we are on a month to month lease, but we have been paying the 12 month lease rate bc that is what we agreed to. We were offered another house that was more money for less quality, I declined. We had came to a verbal agreement that my family would move out while they fixed the mold issue just to later be told w
