Renters beware: CCM Leasing’s practices are dishonest, irresponsible, and put tenants at risk. Despite my lease ending, having an early move-out agreement, and no longer being in possession of the property, CCM has refused to remove my name from the utility accounts. This issue arose because CCM does not want to pay a changeover fee and is instead waiting until a new tenant moves in. This is completely unacceptable, as it has left my credit potentially at risk due to their inaction. I have been working with Tara for months on this issue, and she suddenly claims she no longer knows anything about it, now asserting that Becky is the only one who can remove my name from the utility account. After three years of paying rent on time and in full, they tried to re-charge us for payments we already made, ignored a promised discount, and then piled on a list of fake “damages” that were either pre-existing or the result of their own years of neglect. The house we rented was already in poor condition when we moved in—dirty, falling apart, and never properly maintained—yet CCM tried to pin those issues on us when we left. Renting from CCM in East Lansing was a complete headache from start to finish. The house was in rough shape the day we moved in — dirty, worn down, and clearly not taken care of. Maintenance was pretty much nonexistent, and anytime something broke or needed attention, it was a fight to get anyone to respond. We also had a mold issue in the house that we reported, and they ignored it completely. It wasn’t just a minor problem — it caused real health issues over time. They didn’t seem to care at all. I wish I could give CCM in East Lansing less than 1 star, because even 1 feels like a reward they don’t deserve. They literally falsified a bill that was already paid just to try and double charge us, on top of ignoring the discount they promised. Then, when that scam didn’t cover enough, they manufactured a list of “damages” that were either preexisting or the direct result of their years of neglect. The place we rented was a wreck from the start—filthy, falling apart, and never once maintained properly. Yet somehow, they had the audacity to blame us for their incompetence instead of taking responsibility. Dealing with Tara Davis is torture. She’s incompetent to the point of being dangerous. If CCM thinks she’s a qualified representative, that explains why their company is such a mess.

Monopolistic housing company who generally could not care about its tenants and will squeeze every last penny you have even if damages have nothing to do with the tenants from the current lease. 100% rent a house from Hagan Realty your life will be so much better Somebody needs to Sue this company again. No clue how they get their prices for charges…60$ for a wall repair makes absolutely no sense
