Don’t rent from this property or their affiliates. The manager at M1 through their agents LIED about a special they offered on a lease. They took my $500 holding deposit promising in writing that I would qualify for a significant discount, but then right before moving in they told me I had to pay a higher price. Will be taking them to court. AVOID THEM. They will LIE and CHEAT just to get new tenants. Don’t believe any price they give you. If you experienced anything similar with them, please reach out to me directly.

Do not rent from this company. They will not refund your security deposit after you move out and claim a bunch of nonsense fees. AVOID!!!

These people push out their tenants in cash for keys programs and neglect to fix rent controlled units. Tanya DeLeon, the property manager, is extremely rude when dealing with tenant issues and only talks on her terms. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. They are single handedly taking part in displacing renters.

I lived at one of their properties for over 2 years. When we moved out we did not receive our deposit or a notice explaining why they were keeping our deposit within the 21 days limit under CA law. On top of it, they tried to claim that we had to replace all of the flooring in the apartment. My biggest issue isn't even being upset over possibly owing CLG money. My issue is that now that we have decided to proceed to small claims court, they have been extremely unresponsive and unprofessional is their response. I sent a demand letter to my former apartment manager, the accounting office, the leasing office AND the home office and received no response from anyone in over a month! Keep in mind a demand letter is the first step in filing a claim. They stone wall you in hopes that you'll buckle

I would give this company a rating of 0 (zero) stars if I could. I am spending my valuable time to write this review to inform any person seeking to rent at a property owned and or operated the headache I have had to deal with when it comes to California Landmark Group. I will start off by saying CLG as a company is by no means professional, helpful, friendly, or customer oriented in any manner. As a former resident at The HW, I will say DO NOT EVER PAY RENT online from any website owned by CLG. I have had over $200,000 taken from my accounts. When bringing this up to CLG and showing the district manager Gaea proof and documents showing my claim, it was my advice from Gaea to take them to court.
