5/5 stars for Cadence Apartments So my girlfriend and I were actually some of the very first tenants when Cadence opened, and from day one we knew we made the right choice. The management team wasn’t just management — they felt like family. Tony ,Eliana and Jorge always treated us with real care and respect, and you could tell they genuinely wanted us to enjoy our time living there. We also built a great relationship with the entire staff — security, concierge, maintenance — everyone was kind and always ready to help out any way they can. During our last year there, we went through some tough financial times, and instead of treating us like just another apartment number, they stood by us. I have absolutely loved this apartment!! We stayed there about 2.5 years and we genuinely would have stayed so much longer if we were able to. The unit was gorgeous and spacious, the pool was amazing and never too crowded which i loved; and it was my first apartment where I had a parking spot, so that was an amazing luxury to have. They consistently had the lot monitored as well, which was nice for safety. The maintenance team was insanely quick and fixed everything perfectly. It was wonderful not having to worry about that. The place immediately felt like home and it's a place I will forever cherish and hold close to my heart. Living in this apartment has been an incredibly disappointing experience. I’ve lived in several different buildings and walkups in the city and all of them have their problems, as do management companies. However, Cadence/East Lake takes it to a new level. If you choose to live here, I truly hope you do not have any problems that require management to solve. Based on the residents this building attracts, I wouldn’t bet on it, but I really do hope you’re one of the lucky ones. If you are someone who reads your lease, do not expect that any of those rules will be enforced. Even the most basic ones. It is not a “smoke free” building. The property management team at Cadence (Tony and Eliana) are incredibly helpful and very responsive to emails and inquiries. They're very knowledgeable, polite, and courteous and go to great lengths to support residents. This process was unbelievably smooth -- from submitting the application to signing the lease, they were there every step of the way and to answer any questions and be of assistance. I'm grateful to both of them for their continued efforts to provide a truly exceptional living experience. I had the pleasure of working with the Management team at Cadence. Tony and Eliana are friendly and extremely helpful to the residents and the team. The property is shiny and new, and the apartments are stunningly modern and quiet too! Maintenance and the front desk are also superb professionals, and everyone there forms a wonderful team to work with. Cadence's location is unbeatable. The apartment prices are on point for the City of Chicago!
