DO NOT hire Joe Barnett as your home inspector. Based on our experience, he should not be licensed to perform inspections. We hired Joe to inspect our home and paid extra for a sewer scope. His report stated: "Main lines clear, no bellies, no roots, no breaks." However, just one week after moving in, our entire home's plumbing backed up. We brought in a licensed plumber, who found the sewer line to be severely damaged - requiring a full replacement costing over $30,000. The plumber also confirmed that there is no way Joe could have missed this damage if a proper scope had been performed. When we contacted Joe to raise the issue, he denied responsibility and has refused to provide any proof that the sewer scope was ever done.
