Brusco Equities has been my landlord for the past 2 years and they really are the best! The entire staff and the super at the building are all so kind, reliable, and responsive. I can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve lost my keys and someone at Brusco has come to my rescue in minutes. I have never experienced any problems with pests or leaks or anything like that - the building is well maintained. I have lived in the city for 6 years and this is hands down the best landlord I’ve ever had

I am pretty confident that the negative reviews are regarding the other Brusco. This is a the best landlord I have had living in NYC. I have not had any significant issues since moving in 2 years ago. They maintain the buildings well and we have good heat and hot water through the winter. Super is great and property is lovely. -MS

PLEASE make sure you are referring to Brusco Realty Management, Inc. at 766 Amsterdam Ave before leaving a review. There are 2 companies in NYC with similar names and vastly different service. The one I reference has no "Joe Brusco", is family owned and operated and simply could not be more wonderful. I have lived in my apartment for 15 years, will be leaving soon because I can FINALLY afford to buy, and I'm kind of devastated. Every concern I had, every even minor work I needed (down to changing light bulbs in a high ceiling fixture - they would even help soap-and-water clean the attached ceiling fan with pleasure!) has consistently been addressed professionally, quickly and with care and kindness by everyone involved. I left a more detailed review on Yelp but they have been great so far. Lease signing was easy and everything explained and straightforward. We had some issues in the first week and they sent someone to fix them in the first two days. Update: Our oven broke and they brought a new one in two business days. Second update: got security deposit back with no issue

I contacted Joe Brusco regarding the square feet of 1 apartment. He didn’t email back so I called him. He was very rude and claimed he didn’t know and then hung up on me. I couldn’t believe that what happened so I called back. Again he was extremely rude and hung up on me. He made me feel so dumb and stressed. Don’t call there. Waste of time and energy.
