Bruce Street Garden

Got approved for an apartment by Manager Karen Mills in April 2022. Submitted all documents & passed the background check, paid the security deposit when asked to. Got a call saying my apartment was ready & was being inspected on a Monday, received a Email Tuesday from my section 8 worker saying it failed inspection there was 13 things wrong.I was supposed to be out my apartment that weekend but couldn’t move because of that…The manger told me it couldn’t be reinspected for another 2-3 weeks & suggested I stay in a hotel until then. I couldn’t afford to pay for a hotel all them days so she suggested I come get my security deposit back & find something else which was impossible to do in 4 days with section 8…..She told me I had to write her a letter stating I no longer wanted the apartment

I went to visit,therefore my insights are limited the proyect is overall nice, There was a substantial amount of garbage collected, that was overdue to be removed and clean up, I guess for the holidays and whatnot, I love the apartment that I visit it was compact but it had nice size rooms and good distribution. This area, as I visited during night time, is better to visit in car, public transportation would be kind of scary to wait for.

The area is safe it across from Rutgers hospital. The complex needs improvement and in the summer children playing in the parking lot. The grounds need to be better taken care of.

Didn't like miss mills Attitude She seemed very unprofessional to me I would not recommend this place to no. one

They don't want to paint or fix things mold in the apt they don't want to accommodate so they can fix it.
