Brighton Village Luxury Apartments

Review of Brighton Village Apartments I’ve been a resident since November 17, 2025. While the apartment itself is quiet, reasonably insulated, and initially appeared well maintained, my overall experience has become increasingly frustrating due to maintenance conduct, lack of accountability, and poor communication from management. Multiple concerns have been documented in writing, including unreported damage to my vehicle involving maintenance equipment, repeated unprofessional or intimidating behavior by a maintenance employee, unresolved infrastructure issues (heat, water temperature, sidewalks), and a consistent lack of acknowledgment or follow-up from management. Luxury should be taken off the name…. they don’t take the icicles off the buildings in the winter and now they have been leaking into my apartment. Maintenance was friendly and gave me towels and a bucket but it has been days and the water is soaked those towels and our “luxury” two in one washer dryer doesn’t do the drying part of any cycle. They have a dryer in the basement that requires you to pay with coins. Overall very frustrated with this situation. Positives about this apartment: Hardwood floors, updated kitchen, appliances, friendly neighbors, quiet area.

I recently moved out of the Brighton Village apartments, I lived there for 7 years so I thought I would give a review of my overall experience, and I promise you my review will be 100% honest. I originally moved to the Brighton Village apartments in January 2019 when it was called the Crittenden Way Apartments, it transitioned to Brighton Village apartments in Feb 2019. When Excelsior properties took ownership of Crittenden Way apartments they began to update and renovate the apartments to “luxury” apartments. I can’t give you a review of the “luxury” apartment because I lived in one of the original model apartments but while I lived there, I can say my overall experience was OK (6 out of 10) – (C average) and truthfully I probably would have stayed if the 2026 rent had not increased so m

Buildings are old but sturdy. Clean but they have stinkbugs and other bug problems because of the lighting fixtures they use. The parking on site is just a large open lot. It's close to a lot of things but very secluded behind the tree line. Thick brick walls, but echoey halls. It's decent and well priced around 1600 for a 1 bedroom, but nothing that made me excited to live there.

I basically like everything here, the apartment is nice the grounds are clean, the office staff is friendly the maintenance is fast and reliable. It’s very quiet and peaceful. My neighbors are respectful . If I had to say anything negative it would be the rent costs. They are very high but honestly there really aren’t any one bedrooms around much cheaper that you get a washer in apartment I’d give Brighton Village a 9 out of 10!!
