If you expect a property manager with even basic communication skills or accountability, Borger is not the company for you. As renters at a building in DC, we have been waiting more than 70 days for basic safety-related maintenance in our unit. Despite repeated outreach by email, phone, formal maintenance requests, the Borger portal, and even the “contact us” form on their website, we have received no meaningful response or follow-through. The unit itself is great, and thankfully we have not yet faced an emergency repair; however, based on our experience, we have zero confidence that Borger would respond if one were to occur. Borger has consistently shown that it does not care for its tenants, and we cannot recommend them as a property management company.

They won't give my money back that's owed to me. An overpayment I made to them. It's been since April I requested a refund. Here it is September they don't return calls or give contact information for who would handle this situation. I've been patient and respectful handling this situation and how they are treating me. Anyone would lose their cool being treated like they are nothing by these people. Management should be ashamed how they handling this. If it were them wanting money that belong to them they would have sued me months ago.

I can't speak on all of Borger Management, but I can speak on a specific property/regional manager. I recently moved one of the Borger properties and Travis W has been unbelievably flexible, helpful, and accommodating of my situation. I had time constraints and was between two apartments and he truly made this difficult process much easier. I've been exchanging emails with him for 2 weeks now and he's been nothing but nice and timely. Good property manager and good guy. I never leave reviews, but was compelled to show my appreciation because good property/regional managers are so difficult to come across. Thanks Travis!
