Bordeaux House Apartments

I’m moving to San Luis Obispo County and started looking at apartments. At first, I didn’t consider Bordeaux because the reviews online were pretty negative. However, a coworker told me she had a good experience here, so I decided to go see it for myself. I’m really glad I did. What I found was completely different from what the reviews described. I’ve visited three times now, and every visit has been calm, clean, and peaceful. The scenery is beautiful, there’s a nice park nearby, and the whole area is calm and quiet. It honestly seems like a lot of the negative reviews came from people who were upset about something unrelated to the actual living environment. My experience has been nothing like that. This experience has been incredibly unprofessional and deeply frustrating, especially considering that we never even moved into the property. We applied over a week ago and made consistent, good-faith efforts to stay in communication to ensure that all information was received correctly. The application process itself is somewhat flawed, as certain fields can be cut off upon submission, which we proactively tried to clarify. Initially, we worked with Judith, who was kind, understanding, and aware that we were under a time constraint. At that point, our application was nearly complete and progressing well; the only remaining item was my boyfriend’s rental verification. This place tries to be "luxury apartments". They charge you for everything little things. Rent is 2500 plus additional 800 for all utilities. They stole my entire deposit due to extreme cleaning necessary. This was a lie as the apartment was recently renovated and we cleaned the apartment! This is not a friendly community. Beware all who want to move here as they will set you up to fail. My neighbors were hoarders and the rampant random stray cats everywhere makes the place smell horrendous.

This lady Teresa is rude and can’t ever speak nicely. I’ve heard from other resident that she is also rude and talk a to you with attitude. They also charge for absolutely everything. When I get home at 10 pm there is lights on in apartment that no one lives in to make everyone’s bill higher and get more money. The paint is cheap n the floor as well. It’s not worth the rent they charge or raise.

Would not recommend!! Takes 21 days for them to issue a refund for a hold on a unit when they take it out automatically (B.S), plus trying to apply took forever and I did the calling around to get the information they needed which was part their job Got denied because we didn't have enough rental history at current place Even tho we made enough money and had good credit It was a hassle.. 10/ 10 would not recommend.
