Edited to add: SERVICEMEMBERS AND VETERANS BEWARE! This man is disparaging a 20 year superlative service Navy veteran online. I have submitted the evidence and paperwork to all commands in the Hampton Roads area so please check with your command before applying to any of this person's properties as they are soon to be blacklisted. Do not waste your time or money! Lol, please see the response to my one star review left by the company 7 YEARS LATER. I didn't even write anything on the review, just left a one star yet they felt the need to reply with ridiculous lies. All because I politely declined to pay a $4k security deposit for an incredibly ugly and frankly, dilapidated apartment. I can't say enough about my experience with Boardwalk Realty. I enjoyed moving back into the newly remodeled Castaway Unit as it was centrally located and has a view of the beach. My Property Manager and Staff were always willing to help when I needed anything. I am grateful that I had found a sound reliable company to rent with. I appreciate John Hadjikakos in the fact that he has always been willing to understand that circumstances happen and was always able to accommodate my needs. I lived at Surfrider apartments on W. Ocean View, owned by Boardwalk Realty, for 3 years. Any maintenance issues I had were dealt with quickly and professionally and John, the owner, always followed up with me personally to ensure everything was fixed properly. The office staff, Debbie and Linda, were always there to help with any issues or questions. I loved living just steps away from the beach, which by the way was usually pretty quiet with not many people so it felt like a private beach. I would recommend renting from them for any of their properties.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to John and his team at Boardwalk Realty. I moved in to Ocean View last June due to a job promotion. I checked several Realty Companies for apartment lease and chose Boardwalk. They were courteous and helped me in everyway to ensure that my experience to relocate was flawless. I rented the second floor apartment at Castaways and fell in love with the view and the area. In late September we experienced Hurricane Matthew and the apartment complex sustained extensive damage and all tenants had to be evacuated. John assisted that night during a terrible time to ensure 911 was contacted and also made sure everyone in the complex was okay. The next day John had an apartment ready for me at Surf Rider. I live in Northern Virginia, but have to commute to the Hampton Roads area weekly due to a new business, and rented one of the Havana Beach apartments to stay in while I am back and forth this year. The management team, especially Lisa, have gone above and beyond to make sure I got moved in easily and am having a good experience. When my air conditioner broke they were in constant contact with me back in NOVA, and made sure it was up and running before I got here this weekend, going so far as to text me on a Sunday to make sure the apartment was cool and comfortable. I am appreciative of the extra effort they have put in for me!
