Black Bear Creek Apartments

I been here since October 17th 2025 and I absolutely hate it for 1390 a mo its horrible the light in the refrigerator is taped up the windows are taped so much air coming in the doors are ragging it was very dirty in the kitchen when I moved in found roaches and it smells so bad in the laundry room to the point some days I can't even stay in the apartment my light bill is 600 dollars because there is no lights so u have to buy and plug in lights i wish I never moved here but I needed a place. Black Bear Creek Apartments needs to be reported to the better business bureau because this is outrageous

I have enjoyed the events that Corbin and Emerald Veltum have held there to create community. So many fun things happening there. Some of my favorites have been Trunk or Treat, Bingo, the cookouts and Kona ice and the worship nights! Such a wonderful couple who really put a lot of time and effort into those events! If you’re looking for something fun to do with friends, family or want to meet your neighbors, go and check out the fun! It’s a great place to be!!!

⚠️ UNLIVABLE BIOHAZARD - DO NOT SIGN A LEASE HERE ⚠️ This is not a safe place to live. If you are valuing your health and your sanity, do not even drive into the parking lot. This complex is completely infested. I am not talking about a few bugs; I am talking about a severe, structural infestation of bed bugs, roaches, and fleas. You will see an exterminator truck on the premises almost every single week. That isn't a sign that they are taking care of things; it is proof that the infestation is out of control and they cannot stop it. The buildings are rotting from the inside out. We were planning to move here and had major concerns about the reviews especially since many were very recent. We took a tour and things seemed fine but I continued to have a bad feeling. I was never told about any current issues in our building.. just that they could be RESOLVED through pest and maintenance prevention. Before we signed, I got brave and visited the potential neighbors in the building and was informed about current flee issues among mice, cockroaches, and mold. We immediately canceled and are looking elsewhere.

Awful DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!! Management is a joke they disregarded every single inquiry for help concerning safety and noise even going as far as to imply we are making it up. Ashley is one of the most dismissive property managers I’ve ever dealt with and I’m from Chicago. Our neighbors are so loud all day and all night shaking our walls and celling, we hear screaming arguments that are clearly some form of domestic abuse with over hearing police phone calls of such. And screaming crying babies heard through the walls and children that are clearly unmonitored. They throw their glass down on our patio have thrown knives in our bushes and are frequently intoxicated men wondering outside claiming they “won’t hurt us” when we asked to be left alone.
