Berrien Woods Apartment Homes

My husband and I have lived in this apartment community going on six years. We have met wonderful people who we call great friends and neighbors. The grounds are kept up, we have a beautiful scenery of our wooded back yard. The beautiful ladies in the office have been nothing but amazing. The maintenance crew are always friendly and always busy cleaning/fixing/and making sure the grounds are kept tidy. During an emergency sprinkler system malfunction in our unit, (not the fault of Berrien Woods), staff came to our rescue and smoothly handled everything, not only helping my husband and I, but also helping the other families in the other three units that were effected. My husband and I appreciate all that the staff at Berrien Woods Apartments have done for us. Peace to all.

They were not responsive when I called. I called several times and left messages and they did not return my phone call. Good luck trying to get a hold of them if you are trying to rent an apartment. It's like these people don't like money or something.

They can be extremely rude! As I was getting my dog to become my service Animal I had asked what I could do before finding out I can apply online to register my dog as an emotional support animal. I AM NOT KIDDING AT ALL WHEN I SAY THIS!!! They told me best case scenario is to probably put the dog down. The people who work in the front office literally seem to hate their lives and own image.

Don’t move here. They had me sign and renew my lease, then decided 2 weeks later they didn’t want me as a tenant and changed their mind even AFTER I already renewed my lease. Never had any complaints from my neighbors nor did I bother anybody. Just a single mother trying to take care of her kids. So me and my THREE children were forced to move out. Management sucks, it’s definitely only about the money.

This month I would have signed my 6th lease if my rent hadn’t went from $572 to $715 an increase of $143. I was told it was due to the increased costs of the complex maintaining the apartments. I put in multiple requests to get my stained ceiling fixed from multiple leaks, my light fixture in my shed replaced as the bulbs would not light (yes I changed them), leaky faucet kitchen, a new rubber seal on back door of our building to keep the insects out and snow in winter ( it’s been over a year and last summer I was told it was ordered). A cracked handle on my refrigerator ( loved all the cuts when I opened it the wrong way) and the dishwasher that you cannot add rinse aid. Until this last year I had no complaints but I can’t recommend this complex after the past year. I know that it isn
