I rented from them for all 4 years of residence in Oregon and needless to say this management company has gotten worse with time. Check the "Recent" reviews as it aligns with the downward spiral. You will never get your full security deposit back no matter what. They will absolutely squeeze you for every last penny when you move and find charges for absolutely anything; even if you do so within their own network of apartments. They sneak past the 10% rent maximum increase law by increasing or adding brand new fees for random things. Suddenly parking will now be something you have to pay for despite there being plenty of spaces. Water was covered but not anymore. Just wait until the next batch of them to hit your bill. This company has been difficult to work with and has acted dishonestly in handling my daughter’s move-out and deposit refund. She has clear video evidence showing the apartment was left spotless, yet they charged for an additional seven hours of cleaning and withheld most of her deposit. Their “independent review” ignored the evidence and provided no fair explanation. We are requesting a refund for the improper cleaning charges. The deductions were unjustified and the process lacked transparency and professionalism. Future tenants should document everything carefully before renting here. If I could make it negative star review I would, these people are the utter scum of the earth. They will lure you in with low prices at first and then wait till your nice and comfy in your new apt and then proceed to raise the rent by the maximum legal amount and charge multiple other “fees” on top of that to increase your rent a total of over $100. DO NOT fall for the scam. Please look elsewhere save yourself before it’s too late.

They offer very little support and only excuses.

I have been working with Bennett Management Company since March this year, and my entire experience has been very positive. Me and my roommate were looking for an apartment to live in after being in the dorms, and once we toured the apartment we picked managed by BMC, we knew it was the right place. The building and unit were clean, safe, and comfortable, and the rent is such a good value for a beautiful place—with a view—close to campus. But the apartment manager who helped us, Marty Sumnall, made the difference. He is friendly and professional, and helped tremendously with the process of getting my first apartment.
