In October of 2023 we moved into a home completed by Ben Chandler and his team led by Eric Taylor in Hollis NH. We were living in Minnesota during the project and made numerous trips during the construction process to address material selections, electrical layouts and numerous other decisions. Building long distance is more difficult and the key to a great outcome is having an impeccably honest, candid, knowledgeable and imaginative builder. Ben is all of these. Every option is explained both in terms of costs and benefits. Most importantly there were no “surprise” up charges as allowances were fully disclosed in detail. Our house came in on budget. We are so thankful for the chance to build our home with Bennett Chandler. Ben's attention to design and detail is one of his greatest strengths. Often times builders might try to talk you into an easier or cheaper way, Ben does not compromise ease over quality. I had a vision and strong design views of the transitional colonial I wanted to build. Ben worked with me at every step to create the style I wanted, yet would point out what might not work and offered great alternatives. Ben was willing to let us supply many finish items such as lights, tile, cabinetry and faucets that are so important in creating a style. This allowed us to design a truly custom home. My wife and I used Ben and Laura for our custom build in 2016 and had a great experience. Ben was very accommodating and delivered on every one our requests. His subs are great and everyone takes pride in their work. One thing I appreciated is that Ben did not “nickel and dime” us on things. When our bank that financed the project lagged, Ben continued things on his own dime which kept things going saving us a lot of heartache. He also does a fair amount of his own in house custom work such as bathroom and kitchen cabinets. In every instance Ben’s work turned out nicer than what was proposed by other vendors. I worked very closely with Ben Chandler on the visioning and construction of my dream home. He took my basic ideas and created what can only be described as a masterpiece! Everyday I wake up in awe of the sheer beauty and brilliant architecture we now call home. Not only is Ben's work flawless, but he is very professional, respectful, reasonable and accessible. I waited 3 years to find the right location, community and a builder I could fully trust. I was fortunate enough to get everything I wanted and more.
