Renters beware!! After moving out of the Le Blanc apartments and not receiving my security deposit of over $2k back, I ushered along to Will Sediq at the Balaciano Group saying they would be the ones to help me with my balance. They not only are withholding my security deposit, but are trying to charge me additional money to clean, paint and change carpets in our unit. The carpets were in bad shape to begin with when we moved in, and now they are charging us to replace them (eventhough this normally should be an accepted charge for managing and maintaining an apartment building that has years of use.) They also are claiming that because the apartment was not deep cleaned - absolutely nothing was left in the unit and we fully cleaned the place with some minor scuffs on the wall just from li

Dealing with Balaciano is like trying to reason with a schoolyard bully. I'm quiet, clean, and always pay rent on time. Never had a problem with a landlord before. Here are just a few stories from ~1 year renting at a Balaciano property: - A vacant apartment caught fire and the building filled with smoke. You could smell it through an N95 mask. Phone calls, voicemail, service ticket, and email requesting mitigation all went unanswered for weeks. Fans or filters weren't placed in the hallways, lobby, etc. It was absolutely nasty. - A vacant apartment infested with cockroaches (per the exterminator) happened to be next door to my apartment. The cockroaches migrated through the wall to my refrigerator, including the water filter connection. Service tickets were repeatedly closed with no a

I lawfully broke my lease with Q Playa Apartments a couple of years ago due to ongoing stalking and safety threats. I submitted a valid police report, as required under California Civil Code § 1946.7, which allows tenants to break a lease early due to domestic violence or stalking. Despite this, management refused to honor the law and insisted I obtain a restraining order essentially making up their own rules and showing no concern for my safety. I was repeatedly contacted about the lease-break balance. The communication eventually stopped, but over a year later, they resumed collections again. I had already filed for bankruptcy and the debt had been legally discharged. Shockingly, more than a year after discharge, they sent the debt to collections anyway a clear violation of federal ban

I’m a resident of one of your buildings. My car has been hit at the valet multiple times and your building manager Felipe was really unhelpful. Made me feel like I was bothering him for wanting to know who kept on hitting my car. It was nearly impossible to get a “meeting” with him. He’s never on his desk. The concierges just send you away. It’s been over a month and nothing has been resolved. When talking to the valet people, it was also an issue. I’ve tried to contact upper management and just send me straight to voicemail. Honestly this is ridiculous. So much for “luxury apartments”
