Avonlea Towne Lake

This is our 4th year here, and we love it. The office is very responsive when you need repairs, and the amenities are top notch. They just redid the tennis area and it's very active with pickleball and tennis games. They keep an eye on the sidewalks and tree growth and every Friday the grounds are manicured. There is an enclosed dog park, 2 children's areas and entrance to a walking path that leads to downtown or hwy 92. Lots of joggers and walkers on the paths. I love the mature landscaping which gives the complex a natural ambiance vs some of the newer austere cracker box apts. Our apt has not yet been renovated, but when we moved it it still felt new and pleasant. Their goal is to renovate all apts, and they asked us if we wanted to move to a renovated one so they could redo ours

We are a family of 4 and chose the newer units on this property. Parts of the unit are underground and apparently susceptible to mold. After our second year of living in the unit, a family friend showed us mold damage. We informed the leasing office and when they saw how bad it was made us move out within 2 weeks. We chose a unit, same set up, on the property. The leasing manager only gave $1000 to cover moving expenses. This did not include the mold damage to our beds, couches, dining table, and medical expenses for our then 8 year old son as he now has severe allergies. They instead suggested we file a claim with our insurance company. So in the new unit, after 1 year of living there, we noticed mold AGAIN. This new mold was discovered by me August 2024. I've filed a ticket on the portal

I do not live here. I am just reading reviews because i am searching for a new apartment. This comment is for the corporate office. Instead of responding to people's negative reviews with "reach out to us directly", why don't you reach out to them directly? Not your office management or staff. I mean you! Corporate. If talking to your front office was or is supposed to be how they are to resolve their issues, they wouldn't be leaving so many negative reviews. Clearly your staff is falling way short. it's an absolute insult to tell your tenants to reach out to the very people they are having an issue with and who are the very reason for their negative review. I will not be entertaining the idea of moving to Avonlea. Corporate, you better get your people into shape. I am sure I am not the on

We love living here! We've been at Avonlea Towne Lake for over 3 years and enjoy the beautiful pools, the entrance to the walking path to downtown Woodstock and the fun community events! The office staff is super helpful and the maintenance staff is prompt if we ever have a need. The landscaping is well kept and the trees are beautiful when they bloom in the spring and the leaves change in the fall!

I strongly advise against applying here unless you’re prepared to lose $400 with no guarantee of transparency or fairness. My experience has made it clear that this complex operates with extremely questionable practices. While the tour itself was pleasant and the leasing agent seemed kind, I was reassured that they “work with all types of credit and rental history.” That could not have been further from the truth. After paying all the required fees — including a non-refundable and frankly excessive holding fee — the communication became inconsistent and misleading. We received conflicting emails: one stating they needed more documentation, another saying the application was denied. When we called for clarification, we were told to disregard the denial and just submit what was requested.
