Avondale Apartments

This is an old government fall out shelter.... That is located in the hood. So far from what I've witnessed neighbors look out for neighbors, the building manager goes above and beyond looking out for her tenants, and at the same time doing her job professionally. The maintenance guys do their best for the upkeep of the property and constantly cleaning up after tenants that do not follow rules to their best of their ability. This is Philly.... Yes there will be roaches and mice but if you do your part of the issue it helps them out too. No matter where you live there will always be that one neighbor who either steals, threatens and is defiant. Considering the fact that this is considered a rough area, I've had nothing but respect from most of my neighbors. The layout of the apartments are

I have lived here for 13 years and have seen ownership and management change. The current management is very responsive and makes it a more peaceful experience living here. Pest control has improved, security is better with video cameras throughout the hallways, and the grounds are maintained. Rent payments are easy to make including via app and they keep solid records. I can tell they are serious. In addition, the on-site manager Yolanda is very friendly and approachable and I appreciate her competence and willingness to help. She is passionate about her job and it shows.

All my maintenance requests goes unanswered!!!! I’ve been here for a year plus and it’s like I’m watching the place fall apart, this is a recovery house it’s so bad they even tried to give me a fake eviction notice! Why pay 1000+ and nothing gets fixed heaters barely work during winter, it’s summer now so hallways are hot as ever and smell like pee and poop! But I’m grateful to live around the nonsense

Came for a tour nobody answered the door or phone from leasing office. Rent elsewhere its bad business here

I was in a emergency situation and needed to move quickly. Yolanda Pittman the building manager was very instrumental, understanding, and caring towards my needs. My apartment is comfortable and spacious and is perfect for me and my son to start again. I appreciate all her help.
