Avalon Village Townhomes

I was here for 2 years. Gabby, the property manager, is sweet and wonderful. I loved the private parking, personal yard and quiet. Easy access to Beltway 8 & Highway 225. The property cleanliness was also often maintained.

I’m going to be straight up honest, the town homes are nice inside, the Manager is very nice. But the problem is rats, EVERYONE in the town home is infested with rats. There are holes in the homes that no matter how many times you call they never come to fix! Which just makes more rats welcome to crawl into your home. Also the rent is a bit high and I just don’t think it’s worth paying for if you’re going to be living with rats everywhere even inside the walls!! Also there a kids keying up cars. Trash everywhere, and they are raggedy!!!!

I lived here for 2 years. Never had any major problems. Pest control was available every month. If I had a maintenance problem it was fixed within a reasonable time. As me being a landlord I knew what was acceptable as a reasonable time to fix. I received my deposit back without any problems. I actually wasn't expecting it and surprise within month I had it back. I kept my yard maintained. If there was a inspection then I was notified beforehand. I have told several people including my mother to check the apartments out stayed June 2019 to June 2021.

So many RATS. Can hear rats in walls can smell rat pee from entire building when it rains. Trash everywhere all of the time, even within minutes of trash pickup. Kids breaking into cars at night. Management rude and not helpful. Problems ignored, no maintenance even though residents pay fees. Same with exterminators and basic required amenities, constant ignored water leaks, windows painted over. Mold in AC ducts. Houses for rent in same neighborhood going for less. Don’t be scammed into this place.

Old Raggedy place to live with big rats! Plumbing issues are terrible, They have termites and bad roaches. Once you sign that lease you are stuck. Cant get out of it so you will have to suffer and pay all that money until your lease terms end. Each month I regret paying my rent and pay late because the place is not worth $1450. I'm warning any potential resident and wish someone would have warned me. Do not! I repeat Do not think twice about living here you will regret it! Its raggedy and sits next to some nice well keep townhomes. Avalon Village should be torn down because they don't even look right being next to those nice town homes Bent wood and it brings the neighborhood value down tremendously.
