The problem is Ashton Woods’ complete failure to address those issues and the absolute nightmare of a warranty process. We’ve dealt with dozens of problems, including major issues that are still unresolved. Some of these unresolved issues will ultimately cost us thousands of dollars out of pocket to correct, despite being problems that should have been properly addressed by the builder. Working through their warranty team and contractors has been a massive waste of time and unbelievably frustrating. Attempted to see a home in the Delrose community that is not mapped correctly on Google maps, I circled the area for 20 minutes. Once I pulled over, I reached out through the listed number on HAR and I couldn't even reach anyone who could guide me to the OPEN HOUSE - I was forwarded to a voicemail (Michael) after a quick disconnect prior on a transfer. I called back and told the female representative my feedback and she hung up while I was still speaking as I wanted to leave my feedback at the corporate level. I remained respectful, although admittedly frustrated, so unsure why she cared so little or felt that was appropriate, perhaps she felt the call had come to a close. My job status changed as my promotion was reversed right after I signed the contract and applied with their lender. My income was severely affected but I was still employed. I decided not to move forward due to this and they still would not refund my 5k deposit! I don’t recommend this builder. Seems they are in the business of keeping people’s hard earned money.

Be careful at closing. I’ve been forced to pay taxes owed for the year before I owned the house. I contacted their closing agent and they said I was issued a credit for those taxes. But they used my credit to pay closing costs Ashton woods had agreed to pay in the contract. They agreed to pay up to $11570. They only paid $6700 and stuck me with over $1000 on taxes for the period BEFORE I bought the house. I emailed their complaint address and they never responded. I called my sales agent and he said he had tried to contact his superiors. He was told they would look into it. They never got back to him. SO BUYER BEWEAR. GET EVERY LINE ITEM AT CLOSING EXPLAINED IN DETAIL TO YOU. BETTER YET, USE A DIFFERENT BUILDER.

We bought a home built by Ashton Woods. I am very disappointed in the quality and craftsmanship of the home. A lot of things started falling apart and breaking within a couple of years. The subcontractors they use are terrible. The ceiling in one of the rooms came apart which was missed by the inspector. The carpet wasn’t installed correctly and is coming up in all the rooms. The kitchen drawers are breaking, an appliance broke. Horrible
