APM- Advanced Property Management

Would not recommend renting from APM. When we received the keys, the house was in poor condition. During our initial viewing, the home was still dirty, but we were assured it would be cleaned, the screen door replaced, a fresh coat of paint applied before move-in. Unfortunately, APM did not follow through on any of those promises.

APM is the worst kind of property management company, and if you are a tenant OR a landlord, I'd think twice. This is a one-star review because a zero star review was not possible and because at the very least, they refunded our deposit check back very quickly so that deserves something. During Hurricane Laura, our house that we rented and was managed by APM Properties was destroyed by a massive pine tree in the backyard. This tree we had asked to be removed multiple times, a tree so dangerous the neighbors had offered to split the cost of the tree removal, but no one took them up. These trees were such a notorious talking point in our neighborhood that people would stop me while in the yard asking when both trees were going to be removed. I had a showing Friday evening. The home was smaller than needed and did not have any parking space so Angela asked what my price range was and asked if I was available to see another home that she thought I would like. The day comes and I call to confirm the showing 45 min before . Angela says it was never scheduled. Never put on the calendar. Mind you we just spoke 3 days ago and scheduled the showing Face to face. She was so helpful in person. Discrimination at its FINEST. With more than half an hour to make a 15 minute drive to show me the home she declined.never tried to accommodate my time knowing that I drove to Monroe to see this home. Very unprofessional. They only rent to a certain kind and it’s definitely not young black single mothers.

Moved into a house that was converted into a duplex because the rent was low and now I know why. Stove/oven didn't work and after I reported it, they took 6 weeks to bring one that did. Door in the back is barely secure, screen door was hanging, outlet didn't work, heat is non-existent, no pest control, neighbor bangs on the wall because we walk too loudly...walk. Holes in the floor, rotten from water damage, windows won't secure, and they were going to install air conditioners that aren't fit for the scrap yard...see photos below.

They manage property down the street from me and have for many years. They never check on the property and the tenants that have lived there every time have torn the house up and have let the yards be trashed. This home is at the entrance to our subdivision and the condition of this home due to this property management team doing nothing to manage it has greatly reduced the property values of others in this neighborhood who work hard to keep their home and yard in good shape. If I had them managing my home I would hope they would have stricter rules about the upkeep and keeping the house and yard nicer. I sure would not want them managing my property.
