Animas Village Apartment

I was visiting my mom, who has lived at Animas Village Apartments for about two years, and the difference with the new management is very noticeable. The upkeep has improved so much compared to the previous management—the grounds are clean, well maintained, and everything just looks more cared for. Even my mom has commented on how impressed she is with the changes. The location is peaceful and feels perfectly out of town, with beautiful scenery all around. It’s quiet, relaxing, and an amazing place to live, especially if you love nature and a calm vibe.

Up and coming “place to be!” Lived here over a year now, and with the newer change in management, this place has done a 180! They’ve gotten rid of all of the riff-raff (creators of any nonsensical negative reviews) and really turned it into a family-friendly community. Prime location in the valley, 10 minutes to town or Purg, large square-footage units, helpful management, beautiful grounds with plans for more improvements, and I can hike in/out from my home. Smoking is currently being phased out, and once that’s complete, there will be nothing to complain about here. I’ve toured all of the income-based housing in the area, and this is by far the best there is. If you want to be a part of this friendly, budding community, get on the waitlist ASAP!

I just started renting here in Feb 2024 and I couldn’t be happier, the apartment is clean and I have a beautiful view. Management is very helpful and maintenance is always accommodating my needs. You can’t ask for anything better, especially on an income basis. There’s even a little dog area and always baggies to pick up after the animals. I’m happy to call this place home.

These apt have made myself and children feel unsafe. Our downstairs neighbor has harassed myself and children multiple times. The office does absolutely nothing about it to reassure my children are safe in their own home. Also there is a boy running around hitting other children the office does nothing about it. We walk in our apt my downstairs neighbor complained the office has spread rumors about myself and other tenants. Very unprofessional. The office does nothing about anything instead they threaten to evict me instead of addressing the harassment and violence. No one deserves this treatment or for there children to feel unsafe or do nothing to change it very unprofessional apartment complex and very unsafe

Lived here for 1 year. Underwent an illegal eviction at this place. Managment is a joke. The JL gray company owns this place and they dont take care of it at all. Work orders do not get filled for months if at all by the maintenance. I have had several neighbors complain about bed bug infestations that the management then makes them pay to have an exterminator come in when its obviously the entire building that is infested. When I started to bring up these problems they kept my rent check and never cashed it and said my rent was late then proceeded to kick me out. I am currently filling a lawsuit for harassment and can claim for a class action lawsuit once more of the current residents feel comfortable enough to write a statement. Right now they are in fear of being kicked out themselves.
