Ancelle Apartments

This please truly is a secret garden oasis in the middle of LA, we will really miss it. We do not have enough great things to say about Alex the property manager. He is kind, professional, quick to help out, personable, responsive and above all awesome at his job. If you're looking for vintage vibes this is exactly your place. We decorated our apartment with a perfect vintage brick wall aesthetic which is why we loved this place. Along with the lovely community of neighbors/friends always looking out for us + Alex. It was also a great place to raise our white fluffy pup, Ghost since it has a wonderful open gated yard which was also great for meditation. This is a great starter apartment in LA or even long term. If anything opens at this gem of a place, you should jump on it! Thank you Ance

I loved living here! I’m definitely going to miss this gem 💎 I felt like a Princess everyday. Everyone who lived in the building was really kind, bcuz the people were happy to be apart of this little gated community. Alex the apartment manager has always attended to everyone’s requests! He did everything I asked in a very timely manner. He was always super friendly and always wanted to help!! Thanks for making my stay at the ancelle so enjoyable:)

So far I love this place! I would give these apartments 5 stars, but since the building is so old it does have its pitfalls. Thin walls, old carpets in hallways, old paint in the courtyard and overall worn down building. However, the people are friendly and keep to themselves. None of the tenants seem sketchy. The new manager Rosa is kind and very helpful. The building is still in decent shape regardless of its age and the surrounding area is very nice considering it's in DTLA. The building is pet friendly, just wish the garden was taken care of a bit better. There's a ton of insects and the odor isn't all too pleasant. Regardless, this is a decent apartment building, especially for the price you pay. The entrance of the building at night is one of my favorite features. Definitely has that

such a beautiful building but once changing management its just fallen apart. The hot water has been turned off twice in the past month. There's no one in the office ever!! Your packages are held hostage in parcel pending because the management hasn't paid their dues to the package locker company. Wanna do laundry well there's only two working dryers out of 6. Can't get a return call despite leaving several messages. Save yourself the trouble and move somewhere else.

Management and the quality of the building as massively decreased since Leticia left. The garage door was constantly broken, major leaks/no hot water in the building and the call box were all broken for months. with no consistent manager things have been slipping through the cracks. it’s a shame because the building is beautiful.
