AMLI Old 4th Ward

Alex and I believe it was Izzy (Isaiah)(?) were great at answering our questions and were so lovely in general. I feel an improvement the property could have is being much clearer regarding where everything is and located. We went on our own journey through the building that felt like it was a maze. I'm sure this works for some folks however having this being the first time being there it was not fun after the 4th turn to another dead end. Maybe this can be improved with maps specific to each building highlighting the trash rooms and mail rooms! I'm sure we will get the hang of the layout soon enough. Anyhow the building management were and are super nice!! 😄

After living here for four years, it is disappointing to see how much the quality and management have declined in the last year. When I first moved in, the community was well-maintained, responsive, and secure. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case. My new car was hit in the parking garage in full view of a security camera, but I was told that all cameras had been down for over a month while waiting for parts. This is unacceptable for a complex that promotes secure parking. If repairs take that long, management should find a new vendor. Without functioning cameras, the garage feels unsafe, and there has been no real accountability or resolution nor communication that the cameras were inoperable. Moved in back in November and we were promised all of these amazing new amenities by March. It’s now nearing the end of June and have not had any of them completed including the pool, courtyard, or gym since we moved in. We pay an outrageous rent to live here and get none of the amenities. The courtyard has made NO progress since they ripped it apart in February. The communication is horrible, I keep calling to ask when things will be completed and every two weeks it’s another two weeks. When I have made a fuss they say they can give us access to other AMLI facilities.

No place is perfect, but I've lived in poorly managed properties in the past and this place is overall really enjoyable. The leasing office is competent and they take pride in their work. They actually care and are helpful. They did botch the pool renovation by waiting until like April to start it and delaying it to open until August. Outside of that, great. No extra nickel-and-dime fees - AMLI just goes ahead and bundles all the fees into the rent price. Maintenance is great, area is awesome, and more than anything the other residents are normal. I can't tell you how many times a property has been made way worse by other residents who make the property filthy and unsafe. Most of the people who live here are young working professionals. Only compaints are people will bring their trash

Today we were guided around by Nala, and I really enjoyed it! The AMLI 4th Ward has been nicely renovated and she did a great job informing us about all the amenities available, etc. The Morgan is beautiful! We’ll be coming back to look at The Piedmont when one is available, and I’m looking forward to it! Thank you Nala!
