Amity Garden Apartments

In Nov 2024 Amity raised my rent 12% so i started making plans to move. They reduced it to 8% so i wouldn't have to move. It was still hard to stay since my income only increased 3%. 2025 has not been a good year for Amity gardens. January was particularly bad. 1. someone messed up and i received a gas bill 2 times the normal bill. 2. Maintenance left the utility room door open so when the temperature went to 4 degrees F, the pipes froze and i lost water and heat for 2 days. 3. With my renewed lease i had to provide a Declaration of Insurance. I had it sent directly from State Farm to the Amity office but they lost track of it and started charging me $40/mo in penalties. Of course they didn't say anything unil May when i had accumulated $160 in late fees. I thought it was all settled on

Been here for over a year, and I love it. My 5 year old does as well! Every time I need something fixed maintenance is quick to do so! Vita and destiny are always great as well. And always help out if needed. The apartments are very nice, and kept well. It’s also a great school district for my daughter. For living in the first floor I can’t complain! My neighbors are not disruptive and everyone seems to keep to themselves and not bother anyone which I appreciate .

LOTS of mold and they don’t care! Trash piled up around all the dumpsters, been like this for months. Don’t tell their residents when there’s going to be construction, so I’ve come out to my car covered in mud/concrete before.

I have been trying to call management for 3 days and I have left messages to get information about questions my daughter had as she works 3rd shift. No one ever answers it always goes to the voicemail and than I find out the office manager is out tanning at the pool That explains it all. If I did that at the property I work at I would be fired before I even got back to the office. Our residents would never allow that behavior . That is absolutely unprofessional

I moved into my apartment in October of 2020 and despite dealing with the pandemic the office, maintenance workers, and all involved were very communicative and cooperative with me. The apartments are kept in good clean order and the maintenance guys are highly responsive and good with any repairs needed to appliances etc. The community is very nice and overall kept clean and I have had no issues with noise or neighbors at all; the walls and floors are quite thick. The heat, air conditioning, and water all work very well (despite some more aged units). The hot water comes out VERY HOT immediately so you will seldom need to worry about running out of hot water. I live in a 1-bedroom apartment which is a great size at around 700 sq/ft but due to the good insulation / thick walls the combined
