Amidon Place Apartments

I’ve lived here for a little over a year, and it was fine at first — just a place to stay. But not long after I moved in, I started noticing roaches, which I’ve never had in any other apartment. If you have issues, you can’t call — you have to text, and they’re not very prompt with replies. They also don’t have 24-hour maintenance or an emergency number for urgent problems. One time, my kitchen sink knob popped off and water sprayed everywhere. Thankfully, after a while I found a shut-off valve under the sink myself. My clothes have been stolen from the laundry room, and while there are security cameras in the parking lot and laundry facility, they don’t actually work. They also advertise having a gym and clubhouse, but no one has access to them. Maintenance has shown up without notice,

Stayed the night here with a friend quite a few times during thier residence. Their other friends in the complex were suffering from water damage, bug infestation, and all the psychotic people who stand around outside at all times of the night. Apparently the repair man had said some wild accusations about homicides in the complex to thier single mom friend. Overall not a good place to be at all, they try to keep your deposit for previous issues as well. Don't stay here.

DONT BELIEVE NOTHING THESE PEOPLE SAY ON HERE ABOUT THE RATINGS. THEY ARE LYING ABOUT THE PLACE. I LIVE HERE AND ITS NOT A BAD AREA. IT IS NICE. YOU GUYS ASSUME ANYTHING WITHOUT EXPERIENCE. GROW UP WIL YOU. THESE ARE NICE APTS AND CLEAN. I LOVE IT. BEAUTIFUL NEIGHBORHOOD. AND NOBODY IS WALKING AROUND OUR APARTMENTS. THIS IS A GOOD PLACE TO LIVE. CLEAN ENVIRONMENT. THIS IS A GOOD NEIGHBORHOOD. THIS IS NOT A HIGH CRIME AREA LIKE THE SOUTH SIDE. DONT BELIEVE THE RATINGS PEOPLE LIE ABOUT THE RATINGS AND HAVNT EVEN SEE THEM OR EXPERIENCE LIVINING IN THE AREA.

I just wanted to thank the Point Guard Management Team for giving me a chance and a place to live. The couple months before I moved in I was living couch to couch and sometimes out of my truck. So thank you. Also every time I have had an issue it was resolved very quickly. The staff is always friendly and willing to help. The neighbors for the most part are welcoming and quiet. The reason I’m giving it 4 stars though is because there is some improvements that could be made. But I do know that they will be addressed later on because I’ve lived here for about 3 months and I can already see the apartment complex improving. Thank you again Point Guard Management!!!

They’ll scam you on the deposit. I applied and was told I had to bring the deposit that very day in a money order or cashier’s check, otherwise they wouldn’t “hold” the apartment. I paid the deposit, and they never took the apartment off the market. It was available the entire time for someone else to rent, and they wouldn’t refund the money when I decided not to complete the process of signing the contract for a lease. Who knows how many people have paid a deposit and gotten absolutely nothing for it in return. Scam to make money since their apartment is low quality and extremely small. Not worth what they’re charging either.
