Horrible experience at this title company as a buyer's agent. I am accustomed to a very high level of service with Patten Title company in Williamson County and was horrified by the slow response times, incorrect settlement statements, and now having to BEG to find out where my transaction manager's payment is - at American Abstract & Title in Killeen. Avoid at all costs.

Extremely disorganized , poor communication, lacks professionalism. Months have passed without answers which they continue to delay.

Really bad title company. I have closed on 4 properties in the last 12 months with 3 different companies and this one is the absolute worst. Horrible responsiveness; horrible communication--as in, it's the day of closing and they didn't send instructions on how to pay closing costs--I had to reach out to them to inquire. After closing, it took a full biz day for them to get the docs over to my lender so they could fund. After that, they were 100% non responsive to my request for a complete signed set of the closing documents--I ended up having to get them from my lender. The mobile notary is way too chatty; therefore, closing took way longer than it should have because he was more focused on chatting than just forwarding over the docs for execution. While the staff was very polite throughout our transaction, a mistake on the survey and land came up after our sale. It caused a huge problem with us buying another property and I feel it is something that I was paying someone to take care of insuring the deed and title was correct in our sale. Fingers have been pointed and that is not acceptable when I simply want the issue resolved, I could really care less about pointing fingers. I personally and not involved with title/deed work on a day to day basis which is why we paid for this service and the experts should have caught the mistake.
