After living here for 20 years and having good experiences with Robert Levin, the relationship ended when 2 tenants moved in below my apartment and meth and marijuana smoke entered my apartment at all hours of the night causing me to contact the fire department and police on two occasions. The entire building often smelled like marijuana especially entering and leaving the hallways in the building. My attorney suspected a meth lab was going on! I informed Mr. Levin but when I entered his office he stated he had no time for me! I showed him my watch and said I would be gone in 5 days . On moving day, Patty his assistant came up to the apartment while I was moving and asked what I was doing. It is hard to believe she remarked this and I said that I had nothing to say - fearful of a lawsuit.A

I don't think it is often that a renter feels compelled to leave a 5 star review of a landlord but these guys deserve it. One of the best places to rent from in Philly. The apartment itself was well maintained and it showed that they care about providing a good living experience for their tenants. Also, whenever we needed maintenance support, they were always courteous and fast. Very down to Earth people with good hearts.

Fine place to live, but don’t ever expect to have functional washers and driers in the basement. And you’ll have to walk through a maze of dead cockroaches to get there

I had a great experience renting from this company. As with any building in Philadelphia, problems do occur. However, the management was always responsive and took care of issues in a timely manner. The location is excellent. It's a 30-second walk to the BSL and the 32 Bus. The 40 Bus runs right in front. Town Food Market is in the same building and is a great corner store. I also got my hair cut at J-1 Salon a number of times, which is conveniently located in the same building.

Best landlord I have ever had and certainly one of the best in all of Philadelphia. I lived in a center city apartment they rented to me for 3 years. The apartment itself was wonderful! Clean upon move-in, and exceptionally well cared for. Alvin Levin & Son delivers a mom and pop feel in addition to absolutely stellar service...in this city that is almost impossible to find! They always treated me with respect, kept their word, and prioritized my requests. If I called or emailed about a repair I would often get same day service. The maintenance men and exterminator are all great people who do a quick and thorough job. I locked myself out of the apartment multiple times, but fortunately there is an overnight maintenance guy who takes his job very seriously and responds to phone calls at
