I have used Alpha Realty as property managers for my house for nearly 30 years, and been delighted until several years ago. There is nothing in my contract with them that states that they conduct inspections, which they obviously don't do, so for at least the past year the house has been badly abused. There have been (very) late tenant payments for a year; Alpha kept the late fees but didn't take action to get the tenant out. After two months of non-payments, FINALLY an eviction was served, after which the tenant left like a thief in the night leaving most possessions behind. So not only did I have repairs to make, but the house to empty and clean, disinfect and bug bomb. Then, Alpha actually kept 10% of the security deposit!! (which I was able to be reimbursed for). Workers are always high and their truck hasn't had a legal tag in years. They sit in the parking lots of the rentals smoking and expect to mess up any work a tenant might do. Only the front is clean for the public. They keep promising to take care of the termites were infested with. I'm disabled with cancer and have a disabled child with down syndrome and could still fix it better from dollar tree. They knowingly allowed an unlicensed HVAC contractor to perform defective work, which left exposed fiberglass insulation and contributed to ongoing mold issues and health problems—all fully documented by medical professionals. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this, they ignored urgent safety concerns and refused to clarify basic questions about who actually owns or manages the property. When legal questions arose, they ducked behind vague emails and never confirmed whether they were authorized to act on behalf of the actual landlord (a trust not even named in the lease). The result? THIS STARRING SHOULD HAVE NEGATIVES! I moved into a property that was left empty for more than a year. plenty of time for company to check property for repairs! Everything was a complaint. Their repair service is any junkie that’s a handyman! CHEAPEST SERVICE EVER! Unkempt, unknowledgeable and dirty people! LAURA our “supposed realtor “ was horrible, never responded and CHEAP! 9 months after move in we waited for repair of randomly falling drywall in garage and leaking roof! absolutely no insulation, entire house filled with heat. outrageous power bill over $1,000.00 each month while waiting for repair! These realtors albeit cheap in rent are also cheap in service. Their attention to detail when an emergency situation arrives is absolutely horrible. Their phone manner is completely unacceptable and their maintenance response team is laughable. Nothing is professional about this company it’s as if the owners’ father died and left his properties to college dropout teenagers who read on a fifth grade level. If you see this company on a lease my advice is choose the competition because in this instance you get less than what you pay for. Honestly the coalition for the homeless would provide you a better more comfortable living environment for free.
