Alpha Mill Apartments

We happened to find this property online several months ago while looking for a new place to stay in mid 2025. Since viewing in person for the first time during a Thanksgiving holiday visit, it has not disappointed! The property is gorgeous, well maintained, and full of charm. Daniel from the leasing office is a consummate professional and incredibly helpful, providing tips and advice that made our cross country move incredibly smooth. The amenities are great. The rooftops give an extraordinary view of the downtown skyline, and the location is to die for, with the property nestled snugly between a stone’s throw to downtown Charlotte to the south, and a 5 min walk to the historic NoDa district to the north. I absolutely love living at Alpha Mill! The management team is truly the best—professional, friendly, and always willing to help whenever needed. The community is well maintained, peaceful, and a great place to call home. A special shoutout to the amazing maintenance team, who are always quick to respond and go above and beyond—even bringing treats for my dogs when they stop by, which says so much about how much they care about residents. The location is also incredibly convenient, with everything you need just minutes away, which makes everyday life so much easier. Alpha Mill is an absolute delight. From the beautiful historic buildings, to the well-manicured property, to the exceptional staff who goes above and beyond, this place was a dream to live in! Alpha Mill is one of the few apartment complexes I have lived at in Charlotte that actually connects with the residents and feels like a community. The leasing office and apartment staff go out of their way to make you feel at home and do their best to solve any problems you may have. Alpha Mill stands apart from newer developments with a sense of character that can't be found many other places. They also have numerous dog parks and a good community of people who utilize it frequently. I have personally really enjoyed living here and think it is a great option for its location.

The apartment is something I wanted since I was in middle school, and it didn’t disappoint. The property management made the process smooth, and feasible for beginners as well. If I could give it a 4.5 star, I would, only because of the noise of the cargo train in the back of the building, but I goes by the property 1-2 times a day. But the property, the safety procedures, the amenities and access to the city and highway more than make up for the .5 star.
