I can’t speak for all these other negative reviews, However, I’ve had nothing but a great experience living in an akelius building. I’m going into my third year here and have zero complaints. I love my apartment and my girlfriend and I love living here. Prompt reply’s from their service center, hallways stay clean, anytime I’ve had a maintenance issue, it gets resolved almost immediately. The apartment is super warm. There’s always been clear communication between us and the property manager , Arian. Extremely fortunate to be in this park slope building.

Ilir is a plumber and several times he’s had to come and work on plumbing issues. He has been kind, he works hard and communicates well with information about the job. His customer service is excellent.

Was unfortunate to live in one of their communities for almost a year. I enjoyed the building and general amenities but within a few weeks of living there my vehicle was illegally towed from the parking lot with a valid parking pass displayed. The tow company said they could not see the pass through the window tint, 35%. After showing photos of picking up the vehicle with the parking pass displayed Akelius brushed it off and would not reimburse for this towing. They recommend I place the sticker in the front windshield when their lease agreement stated back left window. Next I had a motorcycle on site, someone backed into it, their resident jumped out of their vehicle severely under the influence and proceeded to scream and jump back in and drove off. My truck got hit twice in the parking

My apartment is out of light at this location and they refused to work on it, I think 311 needs to be called otherwise a fire is going to start with this old breaker box, on top of that, they put a new breaker box but they won’t turn it on because I don’t want them to renovate my apartment and raise my rent by $2100, on top of that, they are trying to tell me I can’t have more than 1 appliances in my apartment when I don’t owe them nothing at all, and this has been going on for almost 6 years now and the property manager? Is nowhere to be seen but still canceling very IMPORTANT repairs and maintenance because of my appliances.

If I could give zero stars I would. Do not live in their buildings. It is impossible to get ahold of property managers. I've been reporting problems of MICE since I've moved in - for 5 months now, and they continue to ignore it. No replies, no solutions, no fixes. Multiple holes chewed through my walls. They patch up the walls and then a new one appears. They do not care that their buildings are infested with mice - they just keep patching it up and doing the bare minimum. It is very evident they do not care about their tenants or their reputation as a property management group.
