Ahwanee Apartments

Great place to live! The apartments are nice and the community is well-kept. Management is very responsive—anytime I needed something, they handled it right away. Really appreciate how smooth and stress-free living here has been.

Adam and Maura are professional and on top of things. The maintenance crew is experienced and resolve any maintenance needs quickly. The grounds are very well maintained. You will not find a better priced 2 bedroom 2 bath room in the vicinity. Especially with a full kitchen and bar top. Parking is limited but you do have the option of joining a waiting list to get a second parking spot.

I lived in Ahwanee Apartments for about 5 years (2019-2024) with my wife. It was hands-down my favourite apartment during my time in America. Adam and Maura are quick to respond to any maintenance issues - which were limited to a few minor plumbing issues. Parking was never an issue as the assigned spaces are respected, and we never encountered any break-ins or vehicle damage. Lucky's grocery is walking distance, as well as a decent corner store (guadalajara market), laundrette and taqueria (Ruby's). The area is safe and if you work in tech, LI and Apple are walkable. If you walk ~35 mins, there is also a train station to go into SF. I would strongly recommend anyone consider this accommodation. If I were to return to the bay area it would be my number 1 pick!

Ahwanee is a great value for its price. The 2 bedroom/2 bathroom at $2,500/month is the best deal we found - all other 2/2s were at least a thousand dollars more no exaggeration. The apartment comes very clean (e.g. bathrooms, kitchen, tiling, carpet, walls) and it's not grimy at all. The location could be better (not much within walking distance except a Dennys and Burger King) however again for the price this was the best deal we found. The property management staff are also super friendly and responsive. A warm community overall.

Like previously stated on a different review when I left the apartment I had hired an outside vendor to come wash and clean carpet and other miscellanous to leave place presentable. Management ended up keeping my complete deposit due to them needing to have one of their own vendors wash carpet and also paint. To top it off they stated I "owed" them lol!.
