Admirals Way Apartments

I had a very disappointing experience at Admiral Way Apartments in Norfolk, VA, mainly due to the unprofessional and rude behavior of the leasing agent, Lashawn S. From the beginning, her attitude was dismissive and unwelcoming, which made the process uncomfortable. After my application was approved, I was asked to pay a $700 security deposit without being allowed to see the actual apartment unit, only a model unit. When I expressed my concern, I was told “this is how we work here,” in a very cold and unhelpful way. The lack of transparency, professionalism, and basic customer service made this a very unpleasant experience. I would recommend others proceed with caution before applying here.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I absolutely love this place! As someone in the military, I've had to move around quite a bit, and I can confidently say this is one of the best apartments I've lived in. It's important to remember that this is the most affordable option in the area, yet people often expect a 5-star hotel experience. I’ve had none of those issues here! The front desk staff is amazing. I submitted three maintenance requests, and they responded within an hour every time. The atmosphere is very quiet, and I’ve had zero problems with neighbors or pets. Everything in the apartment works perfectly! The only reason the overall reviews aren’t higher is that those of us who really enjoy living here often don't take the time to write about it. I would have loved to have gotten information about the community, but the leasing consultant, Lashawn Steward, refuses to do anything more than send a canned answer instead of answering your questions. If that's what you can expect as a resident, it looks like I dodged a bullet.

I just moved out. It's affordable, but everything comes at a price. It's roach-infested. I used to get my apt sprayed monthly, but they still need to remove them. It's all types of species of roaches. I have heard a few occupants don't see any, but those are who have been on the property for years or are lying cause they don't want to admit they have a roach infestation. For those of us who stayed a year at maximum, it's more than likely it's due to the apartment being infested. Management has changed twice after my 1 year of living there. This is a warning: yes, the price is AMAZING, but you pay for what you get—overall, experienced 6/10. My neighbors were great; I never experienced vandalism. Very traumatic experience....was renting with my dad...because his wife abandoned him. I take over financial responsibility unaware that Vickie( office manager) had personal issues with my dad...being his wife who abandoned him are close friends with Vickie...I assume... but anyways she gives us a 72 hour eviction notice without any legal backing...we pay rent on time and haven't been late since I took over. I am so exhausted and confused and depressed because my kids now are terribly effected...my daughter had a panic and asthma attack yesterday in school because she doesn't want to be out in the cold...
