Extremely Disappointed – Adams Homes and Maverick Warranty Are Irresponsible We bought a new home built by Adams Homes, and not long after moving in, we discovered serious structural and ground problems (sinkhole behind the house). Instead of taking responsibility, Adams Homes blames everyone else, saying it’s not their problem. Their warranty company, Maverick Warranty, is just as bad — they refuse to help and keep delaying everything. They both ignore the homeowners, leaving us with a dangerous and costly problem. The real estate agent Karen is a liar. She will promise you anything just to sell you a house. The model home that she works out of has a door between the bathroom and master bedroom. The model that I purchased is built without that door. I had told Karen that I wanted the home I am going to buy to have that door that without that door I have no Interest in purchasing the home so she promised me that the will add the door during construction. She refused to put it in writing claiming it is not necessary and it is. It a big deal to add the door. As it turned out the door was never added and now she is lying that she never promised anything. What makes this worse is I brought up the door on numerous occasions and she promised each time it will be added. As you can see from the picture there
We purchased our Adam's home only a few weeks ago and have been treated very well. We we're in love with our home. During hurricane Milton, our area received sub-tropical storm force winds. For reference the max sustained winds in Ocala was 32mph, not even tropical storm force. Something that is very common here in Florida. We had a leak in our roof which caused about 4 ft of damage to the drywall above our dining room. I crawled up in the roof and was able to locate the leak and put down a bucket and a bunch of towels, it would have been much worse. Gina community manager and Angel warranty department for Adams homes are refusing to even have brand new home looked at because it was "not a normal rain event" even though we didn't get tropical storm force winds. They're using the tragedy
Update to my review below: things went from bad to worse. After talking to corporate we were told there was nothing they could do about water situation and that they can't guarantee clean water. My husband asked for at the very least them to send out theor new home cleaning service which would cost them nothing as every bathroom, toilet and sink and even flooring had brown water marks we were denied they basically said we bought the house and now it's our problem. We have lived here 2 weeks. Many of pur blue tape walk through requests went ignored. Top of shower walls are unfinished. Where backslash meets countertips in bathrooms and kitchen have holes in them and need to be revealed and all this on top of water issues. WELL contractors through Adam's would tell me 1 thing... like your ge
DO NOT BUY HERE. I have purchased a brand new $400,000 home. Since I purchased I have had numerous issues. Problem #1 = Initially my AC did not work and the house was 90 degrees. Had AC service team come out half a dozen times just to find out that the house never had insulation installed. Adams then quickly turned around and made it right but not before a few weeks worth of efforts and issue.. Problem #2 = Its a new home! New countertops! If you call any Adams sales office they will say all new homes come with new granite sealed and installed! Mine are not.. I did not even know what it meant for counters to be sealed until I researched why my absorb everything it touches. So I emailed the warranty team.. and they say "yeah we do not seal the counters and cant help, you will have
