Acclaim at Carriage Hill

Today my wife suffered a very serious fall while walking to the car and hit her head because the area was not cleaned or treated for ice. Management has not cleaned the walkways in the area of the building where we live. When he went to the office to report what happened, the person who assisted her only kept saying, "I don't know," without offering any solution. They only cleaned a few areas, basically the ones they personally use, but not the areas where most residents walk. A neighbor had to put sand down herself to help with the ice and prevent more falls. Even today, two men from her church came to clean the areas where residents walk in this building because the office never showed up to do it. Wow! My mother in law is a resident here and is (55) plus. This is how this facility is described however what I saw is mostly (UNDER 55) men about while I was there. I smelled reefer as soon as my wife and I opened the door to get out of the car. My mother in law has told me (OVER 55) residents have complained to management about this and their stock reply is they have to maintain 10% or something like that for non 55 residents. I assure you this not accurate at all and trending in the wrong direction. This used to he a nice community however it appears management is UNWILLING to maintain former quality standards. The following pictures to include (working on vehicles) because thats a good look and utterly nasty dumpster are just around my mother in laws building. SHAME!!!

I was scheduled for a 3 PM tour with the leasing office because I had a few 2 bedroom units in mind that allowed for a washer/dryer. One layout was advertised online to be around $1200. I arrived 30 min late (Really bad traffic that could not be avoided), I called the office around 2:30 PM, got the voicemail. I called again closer to 3 PM and got an agent who said "No problem. We're open until 5". When I got to the leasing office the leasing agent just said "Someone will be with you shortly". She was sitting at a desk talking to another person who was eating food. No mention of them being on break or anything. At 4 PM, she finally came over as if we just got there. I told her we were looking for a 2 bed unit for around $1200 - $1300, that is when she said the 2 bed units start at

My experience with Acclaim has been nothing short of wonderful. The staff is warm, attentive, and genuinely cares about the residents’ well-being. I would especially like to recognize property manager Ms. Carrie, assistant manager Mr. David, and resident coordinator Ms. Angela for their kindness and professionalism. Our activity director, Ms. Shannon, does an outstanding job of keeping residents engaged with a wide variety of events that make each day enjoyable and fulfilling. I would also like to commend Mr. Godfrey, our assistant service supervisor, for his prompt and efficient handling of maintenance requests.
