Academy Place

Lived here for a year. No cell service and calls drop constantly from my living room. Maybe this is exclusive to Verizon but there’s little cell service in the parking lot too so internet is a must. The maintenance is ok and usually responds on time if they have someone there. Rent was a bit too high. Didn’t have to deal with management too much.Wasted a lot of money due to non-energy efficient appliances. You get a garden plot with every apartment which is a nice way to meet neighbors. Way too many noisy kids in the complex. Had some pretty loud neighbors too but that is a case by case basis. Decent location to the 7/11 and other city services. Parking is usually pretty available for tenants and guests. No elevator in building. They also turn off the heat in the summer and turn off the A/

I am dealing with a legal matter involving someone who lives here. I tried multiple times through Email and phone to reach the office and property management company. The Broomfield Police also could not reach anyone. Broomfield Police tried multiple times in person and via phone to reach anyone working here. Evetytime they went the office was closed and no calls were returned. No one ever picks up the phone. To go as far as to ignore law enforcement, thats is concerning.

I’m not one to complain and publicly humiliate a company but This is a disgusting excuse for an apartment. MANAGEMENT IS A JOKE. They don’t do anything regarding the well-being of their tenants. During the summer if it’s not hot enough to put the AC on, they shut it off during the winter if it’s not cold enough to put the heat on, they shut it off they. Please are called multiple times to this apartment complex for several different tenant reasons and management does absolutely nothing. This is not a safe environment. There are drunks out in the courtyard area which is right next to a playground that is occupied by kids throughout the day. Small, dark, smelly hallways and drafty windows. Appliances that must be the cheapest available. No amenities aside from garbage truck pick up. From personal experience, it's not the tenants, it's the miserable management people (S and S) who are living a daily dress rehearsal for their big night every year on October 31. These two could easily screw up a one car funeral. The population at Academy place is primarily lower income so life is already challenging for these good people. Broken dishwashers, toilets overflowing, washing machines leaking, and property management ignores the calls for help. The property opened in 2022, and there was a murder onsite within the first six months. Security? Again, non existent and the Ace Property Management Team sleeps through every crisis or ignores

Amazing place to live with a very helpful staff. They handle problems as they arise and make people feel at home. Some residents can be nasty and leave bad reviews but I’ve lived here almost 3 years and had no problems.
