Abbeyville Apartments

People above us up all night banging reported by several different apartments they do nothing. They caused several floods in their bathroom which has caused my ceiling to fall apart last time was June 22nd 2025 reported it several times for it to get fixed, it is now October 7th 2025 still Waiting for someone to fix it even after telling them it now has black mold on the ceiling ! And raised the rent another 100.00 per month. Slumlord I don’t know but definitely wouldn’t rent here!!!!!!!

Great location, utilities included and some friendly neighbors were the highlights. Otherwise, rain leak issues inside apartment, kitchen smelled like cigarette smoke every morning (even as a nonsmoking building!) and incredibly neglected building overall. We would have had guests over more if the lobby and front area were not so poorly kept. Trash everywhere. It felt like we were not valued as tenants and didn’t appreciate nice things or something. If you want to be in the area without spending a lot this would be a good place but do not be fooled by the pictures. They are not up to date.

This place is awful. I have lived here for almost 4 years and it has gotten worse every year. 1) The parking lot has been closed for 3 months - it's caving in due to someone THEY hired to come clean the roofs/gutters. Nothing has been done to even attempt to fix it. When you return home, you're often driving around looking for a parking spot. I have had to park up on the street and have gotten tickets from MTL for parking illegally. 7 parking spaces plus 2 garages (which can hold 4 cars) are unable to be used due to this lot being closed. 2) The apartments themselves are very outdated - no AC, no dishwasher, old appliances. I’ve lived in 135 Abbeyville Rd for a year and a half now, and honestly all things considered it was a great decision to move here! Although the apartment is quite old (no A/C), no dishwasher, etc, can’t control heater on walls, it’s quite spacious for a studio apartment! I have little to no problems with the apartment other than the noise one makes (if you live above somebody you better not make much noise or they’ll hear it!) and some problem with spiders on the windows (although they’re not a big problem). It’s a fifteen minute walk uphill to the nearest shopping Mall (South Hills Village) and the T (tram transportation system to downtown) and a short walk to the nearest bus stop (36 banksville to downtown or South Hills).
