61 Banks Street

The entire staff at Banks made it feel like we were leaving family. Katie, Ebony, Angel, Gabby, Tiana, and Pierre (just to call out a few) provided fantastic service and made the past three years as close to perfect as you can get.

I lived at 61 Banks for 2 years before moving out of state and I already miss it!! The apartments are built so well and mine had a direct view of Lake Michigan. Katie and Josselin at the management office are also amazing! They were so helpful with any questions we had and curated fun events for residents to get together several times a month and even bigger socials like end of summer soirées and annual holiday parties. It was for this reason we got to know our community and became friends with fellow neighbors. The facilities are also beautiful with a stunning rooftop deck with outdoor grill, that is pristinely maintained and has the best view of Lake Michigan in the city!

To say that the management has been awful is an understatement. While the building is beautiful, it is simply not worth the harassment from management: Andie (now gone), Katie and Kristen have had nothing short of retaliation since my original review posted. Unannounced intrusions into our unit have been so commonplace I now have to remind myself to close the door when I shower or nap. Andie point blank told me "we can access your unit whenever we want." When we went on our honeymoon, we were forced to come home early under threat of eviction for our dog barking... he barked twice. The management team finally verbally agreed to allow us to terminate our lease early- only to renege at the last second and notify me that I am on the hook for well over $12,000 if I want to leave so my family

Toured this building with my VIP clients while it was still under construction. The layouts of the townhomes on the 1st & 2nd floor were all so unique. It was nice to have options based on layout. Hell of a price, but it comes with the lifestyle. Management was very kind to me while we toured over 10 different options here. Thanks for the showings!

Honestly only a difficult place to live because of management, but a beautiful building if you can tolerate them. Be prepared to be harassed by property managers, and have people enter and wander through your unit unannounced. Lock your doors and windows because there have been multiple security issues without any action taken.
