606 Blue

I've been here for two months and cannot express how happy I am living here. The apartment, amenities, and most importantly building management (shout out Gabby) is highly satisfactory. If you are a runner or love being outside, the 606 is right next door and Wicker Park's Six Corners is a couple blocks away. Perfect location for those looking for privacy but access to the fun things that the great city of Chicago has to offer.

Looks can certainly be deceiving and that is exactly the case with 606 Blue (formerly Centrum Bucktown.) Topically, the building is beautiful, with fancy common spaces, a pool table, a common use chef’s kitchen and outdoor patio/grill areas. But just below the flashy surface is a building which can only be described as a lemon. It’s original investors and builders seemingly cut every corner possible during the building’s construction in 2017 and the result is a very flawed structure. With leaking windows, walls, and ceilings, tenants have had to endure regular water damage in their units and a never-ending construction project to address a seemingly non fixable problem. I live at Centrum Bucktown - one of 33 Realty's 'luxury' buildings. It is currently 98 degrees in my apartment. For reference, the temperature outside is in the high 60s. My HVAC has been out of order for 7 days and this will continue for several more. I cannot open my windows (floor to ceiling), so there is no ventilation or air flow from outside. My apartment has turned into a green house. In the course of the last week, I have had to spend over $1,400 in vet bills for my sick and overheated dog and alternative accommodations. None of which will be covered by management, even though this issue is due to their negligence. It is immoral and inhumane to ask that we stay in the apartment while the issue is resolved. 606 Blue has been awesome so far - the manager, Kara, is super friendly and helpful. Pedro runs maintenance and he’s been a huge help! Moving in was so easy and excited for the next year here

I have had a great experience living at 606 Blue. Gabby, the building manager, is very accommodating and responsive to any concerns you may have. All of the maintenance and building staff, including Pedro and Celia, are very thorough and friendly. The amenities like the gym and outdoor areas are all well-kept and modern. It is extremely convenient living above Aldi and being so close to the 606 Trail. I would definitely recommend living here.
