22 Chapel

I lived at 22 Chapel from December 2023 to July 2025, and it was easily one of the best living experiences I’ve had in 15 years of living in New York City. The leasing team was responsive, helpful, and flexible throughout the application process. The doormen, porters, and maintenance staff were all incredibly friendly and professional. The building is spotless, my one-bedroom apartment was spacious, and the location is hard to beat. It’s about an eight minute walk to both the York St. and Jay St. / MetroTech subway stations. You get significantly more bang for your buck compared to an overpriced, undersized apartment in DUMBO. I had moved to 22 Chapel from Magnolia DUMBO and never felt like I had to compromise on space, comfort, or convenience. If I had to mention one minor downside, th

22 chapel has been the best living experience in Brooklyn by far. Dynamic views of downtown BK the financial district and bridges. The staff is top notch amenities always clean, close to major subway lines. Great place to live.

Worst apartment ever! There are many problems with the indoor facilities, especially the air conditioning. Admin and maintenance teams are not productive. When I tried to talk to them about my lease, it took 40 days for the leasing office to respond to my emails. Just try to find somewhere else, it didn't meet any of my expectations for a new apartment.
